More Than Meets The Eye!
The eagerly anticipated Transformers 2: Revenge of The Fallen finally reached our shores on Wednesday. These are some of the many collectibles on display in Queensbay Mall during the TF Convention. It was almost like heaven to me, seeing the range of shape-shifting robots and drooling over most of them. Here are some of my favorite images taken by the recently purchased (a day earlier) Tamron Macro lens (90mm, f2.8, 1:1). Had some tough time taking the images hand-held and to make things more complicated, barricades were placed around the display area which meant photo enthusiasts had to shoot from a good 3-4 feet away in most situations. Not ideal for macro shots but nevertheless, I'm quite pleased with the outcome :O)

So this is the result of your macro lens! How much you paid for it?
The lens is about RM1.4K
how far do you stand to shoot these TF? can you estimate the distance and agak agak tell me? hehe...
Anyway, how many nikon body you have? Your nikon de body diameter filter is 55mm de?
Cuz i saw you wrote Tamron 90mm.. this is 55mm filter diamater de lens o.
Macus, I was standing about 3-4 feet away. Some shots were possibly around 5-6 feet away since the organizers placed barricades around the exhibits.
oh... Thats quite far for Tamron...
How about capturing animal from this distance you mentioned? Would I get a clear detail of their close-up?
Generally, it's better to be closer to the subject (animals). If you're taking photos of insects, then the 90mm range is good. It gives you some room to maneuver; some insects are very sensitive and will just fly off once you get too close.
oh? currently i stand very near to capture the insects wor... liek caterpillar. next upload i upload to my blog, u go see yeah.
the distance very near wor..
the animals not yet tried before, cuz this saturday im going to zoo negara with my co-curricular activity de teacher and friends. So will capture animals with Tamron 90mm then, then upload and you can see in my blog. Hehe..
ya lo.. thats why I also very headache when want buy macro lens before this, cuz scared the distance for taking insects, if too near they will fly away, like dragonfly.
Like erm, I got capture fly. I posted in my blog d, the capturing i was very close to the fly, like only 10cm - 15cm to get 1:1 magnification wor...the fly din fly away cuz it's like the fly in the freezer, cant move a lot...thats y i saw it stayed there, then i snapped lo. If one active fly, i stand so near it sure fly away d de.. and cant get 1:1 magnification d...
